The Parks and Recreation Department has an opening for a part time Guest Services Associates. This position is instrumental for efficient operations of the City Wide Community Center as well as the Merrimack Lodge at White Park. This position will be responsible for the supervising of programs and activities at the two locations and room set ups/cleaning as needed. Applicants will also be responsible for answering the telephone, helping patrons while using the building and all front desk operations. The City Wide Community Center boasts the following amenities: four program rooms, two exercise rooms, library services, an auditorium with stage, gymnasium, a teaching/pre-kitchen and outside patios. Merrimack Lodge hosts a beautiful rental center for White Park as well as Ice Skating rentals in season. TYPICAL WORK SHIFT/SCHEDULE: 10 to 15 Hours Weekly,

Examples of Duties
-
Performs building supervision duties, which include accepting class registration, using computers, and cash handling. Set up and take down for classes and public meetings. Minor cleaning of rooms - pick up trash, sweep floors as needed. Assists with securing building at the end of day Maintains inventory of all supplies required to perform the duties of the position. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications

Education and Experience: Associates degree in Business, Recreation, or Hospitality is preferred. Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. Licenses and Certifications: Operator's License
Youth and Adult CPR and First Aid certification
