Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Facilities Support for the School of Social Work.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Troubleshoots and provides technical and classroom support as needed for SSW Classes.
  • Assists with special projects as needed which may include moving items, data management, and other facilities & event related needs.
  • Serves as the back-up to SSW Facilities Coordinator, working as the front desk representative and SSW facilities point of contact for all SSW downtown NB leased spaces.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency scenarios and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders. Strong technological literacy.
  • Ability to learn new equipment & systems, provide technical support, and train others.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
