Job Title: Manufacturing Office Assistant/ Manufacturing Support Clerk
Location: North Chesterfield, VA 23237
Pay Rate: $17.00/Hour. without benefits
Duration: 6+ months
Work Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 Monday to Friday
Job Description:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Competencies:
- Proficiency in computer keyboarding and MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, record-keeping, purchasing, problem-solving, and training.
- Ability to effectively manage time, maintain attention to detail, prioritize, and make decisions.
- Ability to work independently, resolve problems, and perform effectively in complex work situations that involve multi-tasking and procedural requirements.
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, listen effectively and handle difficult situations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in an office or/ and manufacturing environment
Additional Considerations:
- Considerable knowledge of manufacturing, routings and bill of materials that relate to the coding function.
- Technically proficient in an ERP/MRP related software.

- Codes Development and Modification
- Confirm, research, and create product codes within Syteline data base.
- Ensure an accurate, efficient processing of product code requests.
- Effectively utilizes queue system and shared Codes email box to process assigned product requests.
- Create codes for D, FG, PG, RM, and SA items and assigns pricing according to department procedures.
- Reviews and maintains item status, inventory locations, vendor references, material costs and all relevant product data for each request.
- Accurately interprets project specification sheets, routings, bills of material, vendor contracts, product drawings, and related documents.
- Collaborates and clearly communicates with vendors, Sales, Design, and other departments on all aspects of product requests.
- Develops comprehensive product and process knowledge by utilization of reference materials, vendor-led training, and department meeting dialogue.
- Develops and utilizes basic working knowledge of BOM and Systems processes to support department staff as needed
- Bill of Materials (BOM), Routings
- Create, maintain, and update item code manufacturing data in Syteline database.
- Ensure timely and accurate review of routing, bill of materials, and all other relevant product details.
- Effectively utilizes queue system and shared BOM email box to process assigned product requests.
- Ensures BOM/Routing documentation received is complete and accurate.
- Interprets p5roject specification sheets, assembly routing forms, vendor contracts, product drawings, and related documents accurately.
- Create codes for D, FG, PG, RM, and SA items according to department procedures.
- Collaborates and clearly communicates with vendors, Sales, Design, and other departments on all aspects of product requests.
- Facilitates material costs updates as dictated by yearly or mid-year vendor contract changes.
- Coordinates mass data updates for product lines
- Develops comprehensive product and process knowledge by utilization of reference materials, vendor-led training, and Codes Team meeting dialogue.
- Develops and utilizes basic working knowledge of Codes and Systems processes to support department staff as needed System or Desking Products, Projects, and Quotes
- Create, review, and complete project Estimates for Remanufacture office proposals.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of Estimate requests.
- Effectively utilizes queue system and shared Remanufacture email box to process assigned product requests.
- Competently reviews Estimate requests to ensure proper documentation is provided for each request.
- Creates project Estimates using Bill of Material, Design Approval Form, Vendor quote and other corresponding documentation.
- Creates codes for D, FG, PG, RM, and SA items according to department procedures.
- Demonstrates basic understanding of Remanufacture room design as it relates to product materials and assembly.
- Interprets project specification sheets, assembly routing forms, vendor contracts, product drawings, and related documents accurately.
- Develops comprehensive product and process knowledge by utilization of reference materials, vendor-led training, and Codes Team meeting dialogue.
- Develops and utilizes basic working knowledge of Codes and BOM processes to support department staff as needed.
