Overview
Work Arrangement: ***This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the U.S.A.*** The Director, Key Accounts for the Fintech Solutions Group will be responsible for maintaining, overseeing, and fostering relationships within their assigned strategic partnership(s). This role reports directly to the Managing Director, Head of Partner Strategy and will manage a portfolio of the Bank's strategic and complex relationships. The Director, Key Accounts will regularly interface with both Senior and Executive Leadership across The Bancorp, fostering a collaborative environment. A key focus of this role is driving strategic growth by supporting the development of new products and services for assigned partnerships while ensuring compliance through close coordination with internal support and risk management functions. Additionally, the Director, Key Accounts may oversee a team of relationship support staff assigned to their partnership(s) to ensure that both the Bank's and its partners' needs are met effectively.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Directly oversees and drives the growth of assigned partnerships within the Fintech Solutions division. Assigned clients will be highly strategic relationships based on size, profitability, and complexity.
- Works closely with assigned strategic partners to identify and execute growth initiatives, promoting The Bancorp's products and services that align with their long-term objectives.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with senior-level executives at key partner organizations, fostering collaboration, trust, and accountability.
- Leads regular meetings with partners to review performance metrics, addresses compliance and risk management issues, discusses business growth projections, and explores future initiatives.
- Provides oversight to ensure that audit, regulatory, compliance, and operational issues are promptly identified and resolved.
- Serves as the primary escalation point for both internal bank teams and external partners, ensuring efficient resolution of concerns.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to senior and executive leadership, outlining key performance indicators and strategic proposals for assigned partnerships.
- Collaborates with senior departmental leadership to recommend and implement operational improvements that enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Identifies, presents, and advocates for new product enhancements that align with partner needs, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
- Works across departments, including support and risk management functions, to ensure projects are adequately resourced and progressing as planned.
- Partners with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop solutions that balance the needs of both the bank and its partners.
- Acts as an advocate for assigned partners, effectively communicating their needs and perspectives to the Bank's oversight and control functions.
- Represents The Bancorp's core values and expertise in client discussions, reinforcing the strength of the partnership.
- Acts as a liaison and subject matter expert for project managers to ensure partner products are brought to market as intended.
- Ensures that partners continuously meet all due diligence requirements, compliance standards, and regulatory obligations set by the bank.
- Assists bank staff in addressing and resolving regulatory, compliance, and operational concerns in a timely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 10+ Years of Executive-level Account Management experience.
- 10+ Years sales or strategic growth experience with demonstrated success in key account management.
- Demonstrated success in balancing and managing the interests of external partners, internal operations, and risk management functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree or Certifications in a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A team player, able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the banking and fintech industry.
- Position is required to travel up to 30 percent.
