Overview

This role involves reviewing intelligence products to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in grammar, punctuation, and syntax. The editor ensures that all content adheres to agency publication standards, prescribed style guides, and specialized subject-matter vocabulary. Responsibilities also include refining draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to maintain alignment with the accompanying text. The position requires strict adherence to IC classification marking guidelines and collaboration with authors to improve narrative structure, negotiating revisions as necessary.



Responsibilities

    Conducts detailed reviews of intelligence products to ensure logical flow, clarity, and adherence to publication standards.
  • Ensures compliance with agency style guides and specialized subject-matter terminology.
  • Edits tables, graphics, and supplementary materials for consistency with textual content.
  • Verifies and applies appropriate classification markings in accordance with IC guidelines.
  • Works closely with authors to enhance narrative structure and refine analytical content.
  • Guides teams in researching and addressing complex or critical analytical challenges.


Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI
  • Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and the completion of all developmental training relevant to the role.
  • Capable of synthesizing complex, incomplete, or highly technical information into clear and actionable intelligence.
  • Works effectively with minimal supervision and collaborates with IC partners on information-sharing initiatives, intelligence collection, and analytical dispute resolution.
  • Produces concise, insightful, and comprehensive intelligence products tailored to defense intelligence needs.

Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with at least a portion within the last 2 years.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
