$128,000.00 - $216,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

The Lead Salesforce Development Engineer will collaborate with others in the division to provide and maintain Salesforce application to meet our needs. You will manage the design for large-scale business solutions within the Salesforce platform, providing technical guidance for specific applications. You will report to the Sr. Engineering Manager.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034

Responsibilities:

  • Platform Expertise: You will be a technical expert on the Salesforce platform, providing insights and guidance during the initial project phases. This includes estimating resource and skill requirements, identifying Salesforce technologies, and participating in proof-of-concept efforts, etc.
  • Solution Architecture: You will analyze high-level system specifications, our requirements, and use cases specific to Salesforce. Transform this information into detailed specifications and a cohesive system design plan, ensuring understanding of Salesforce best practices and the development team's capabilities.
  • Design: You will use advanced Salesforce development skills to address high-risk features or technical challenges. You will create Salesforce solutions that enhance business processes and user engagement.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: You will work with partners and the development team to validate complex design decisions. You will lead team members in Salesforce development best practices, ensuring high-quality outputs and learning.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: You will define, conduct, and mentor others in Salesforce-specific testing practices (e.g., unit, system, and integration). You will oversee development walkthroughs and code reviews to ensure and to identify improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: You will stay abreast of new Salesforce features and capabilities. Advocate for and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the team and the broader organization.
  • AI Based Interactions: Lead design and implementation of AI based interactions within Salesforce, spearheading adoption and utilization of Agentforce platform.

Specialized Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-oriented solutions or service with Salesforce development, including custom solutions and applying Salesforce clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud), platform services (e.g., Force.com, Lightning Platform) and/or AI based interactions such as Agentforce.
  • You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Understanding of Salesforce architecture, design patterns, and best practices. You will develop scalable and maintainable solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Solid knowledge of integration patterns and practices within Salesforce, including experience with Salesforce APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Certifications: Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, System Architect, AI Specialist).
  • You will demonstrate experience analyzing complex software within the Salesforce environment. You will estimate project size and work efforts.
  • Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners technical information to non-technical partners and to articulate the value of Salesforce solutions in meeting our needs.
