Position Summary: The Secondary Market Origination Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the Secondary Market Lending activities including Sales. The position will also work closely with operations in the development of new technology to improve our overall customer experience. This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines up to one day per week upon completion of onboarding. Essential Functions:
- Under the direction of the Retail Division Head, the Supervisor for Secondary Market Lending is responsible for all aspects of the Secondary Market Mortgage Lending Department's sales.
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of secondary market lending and expertise within the residential mortgage lending industry. Stays abreast of changes in the industry and collaborates with the Retail Division Head to support the development of new and innovative ways to improve our client experience.
- Maintains ongoing awareness of mortgage workflow, pipelines, and service processes with an emphasis on customer service, regulatory compliance, and efficient ways to better deliver our mortgage loan products.
- Collaborate with the Retail Division Head on achieving the short-term and long-term financial and operational goals and is responsible for completing the budget of the Mortgage Loan Department centers including, Secondary Market Mortgage (109).
- Responsible for managing the sales goals of all secondary market Mortgage Loan Officers as set by Retail Division Head.
- Responsible in conjunction with the Retail Division Head for all secondary market loan pricing decisions to ensure a profitable division.
- Assists the Retail Division Head with directing and coordinating all secondary market sales' initiatives (CRM), including campaigns, meetings, and reporting/tracking. Develops and maintains a strong relationship with all areas of the bank while being an active participant within the Retail Leadership team and leading by example in developing a strong sales and service culture.
- Maintains strong working relationship with the Loan Operations Manager and department to ensure quality customer and loan officer experience along with meeting all compliance guidelines.
- Exercises judgment concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations along with recruitment of new Loan Officers.
- Reviews approved loans and delinquency reports to ensure that policies and practices are being followed.
- Establishes measurable objectives for direct reports' performance and completes performance reviews.
- Prepares and provides to senior management reports as appropriate on activity of the department.
- Represents the bank in the community and through active participation in business, industry, and community organizations.
- Ensure teammates are trained and comply with bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to their roles. Monitor direct and indirect report adherence to internal controls and take action to address employee performance issues.
- Understand and adheres to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
- Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Performs other functions as directed or authorized by the Retail Division Head.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of five years secondary market lending experience.
- Detailed knowledge of the origination process from processing to closing
- Knowledge of Investor Guidelines and loan pricing process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, and in working with other company software.
- Valid Nebraska driver's license.

Working Environment: Some sedentary work. Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements or hazards. Occasional lifting and or carrying up to 25 lbs. Some travel required.
