Job Description

Essential Functions:

Serve as the primary testing representative on cross functional project teams delivering:

  • Impact assessment to current testing processes and policies
  • Negotiate on behalf of the testing team for tools, training, and support commitments.
  • Develop and deliver training to global testing team
  • Develop/Maintain transaction and automation scripts
  • Develop/maintain clear testing project documentation

Function as a global SME for assigned areas of expertise including:

  • Collaborate with developers and QA leads to improve testability, automation, and tools
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues working with functional/development as required
  • Provide ongoing guidance and knowledge to less tenured GCT employees.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with a globally distributed team.

Responsible for own workflow assignments and must be able to take the initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines. Must face the unknown with fearless determination create repeatable process.

Understanding of Visa's release process is preferred.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 8 -10 years of experience with payments messaging - Visa messaging preferred.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills with global teams required
  • Knowledge of Visa Systems including MVS, VIP, RSI, CORE/Config
  • Ability to interact and influence resources at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written.
  • Strong relationship, collaborative skills.
  • Able to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, applications, and tools.
  • Project Management certification a plus.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 128,000.00 to 185,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
