Overview Plans, coordinates and executes difficult specialized assignments within a type of facility or type of process for startup, operations, maintenance and testing. Apply specialized knowledge of startup methods to the solution of specific problems. Responsibilities
Provides the resolution of technical questions arising in the area of specialty.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline plus Experience/Skills: 8 - 1 0 years practical work experience in startup, operations, maintenance or testing and basic knowledge of pertinent industry or regulatory standards. Some knowledge of construction or field engineering, of engineering systems, and applications of startup/test methods. Some knowledge of code, mathematics, or computers. Basic skill in communications. The above is normally acquired through a recognized degree in an engineering, technical, or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, a U. S. Military curriculum specialized courses in a technical field, or 1 2 - 1 8 years of practical work experience in startup, operations maintenance or testing. Experience/Skills:
Conduct of Startup Testing Design reviews Procedure development Test Execution
Area Security Access: : Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments. Work Environment/Physical Demands Work Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. SRNS Management will determine appropriate schedule depending on work needs. Each workday has an unpaid 30-minute lunch break.
