Job Summary Job Summary/Purpose: The Accreditation Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing processes to support ongoing compliance with Accreditation/regulatory agencies and standards. Key responsibilities for Accreditation support include: sharing knowledge of processes to meet compliance with identified accreditation/regulatory standards, researching and obtaining interpretation of standards compliance requirements, and assisting with the development of processes to support ongoing survey readiness.Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in accreditation & regulatory required. 5 years of accreditation and regulatory affairs experience within Sentara and currently pursing bachelors degree may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree. Ability to abstract and analyze clinical information from medical records. Ability to work effectively with senior leadership, physicians and other healthcare providers, as well as, with multidisciplinary teams across department lines. Must possess knowledge of health care issues and process improvement concepts. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and accreditation agency standards preferred.
