The Bar Porter is responsible for ensuring beverage outlets run smoothly by stocking glassware, condiments, beer, paper products, and other essential supplies, all while delivering exceptional guest service. THE STARTING RATE: $12.75
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Stock and service assigned beverage outlets, ensuring proper inventory levels of glassware, condiments, packaged beverages, paper products, and other essential supplies. Maintain cleanliness of beverage areas, including bar equipment, tools, and supplies, as well as trash removal, deep cleaning, sanitation, and upkeep of workspaces such as refrigerators, countertops, and floors. Complete required documentation, including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries. Maintain proper stock levels of liquor, beer, and supplies in coolers and dry storage areas, placing orders as needed. Responsible for the setup and breakdown of portable bars in designated areas. Follow proper procedures for using freight elevators and delivery routes to designated hotel areas and beverage outlets. Organize and maintain beverage pump rooms, storage areas, and warehouses, identifying non-stock items and notifying management as needed. Address guest concerns within the scope of authority or escalate to management when necessary. Report any unusual incidents, missing items, or alleged theft to a supervisor and/or Security.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Strong listening skills with sound judgment. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail, ensuring efficiency under time constraints and within deadlines. Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal. Has a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred) Is at least 21 years old (required) At least six months of prior relevant experience in food service experience (preferred)
