Overview

E2 is hiring an Aviation Project Controls Manager who will be responsible for project reporting, controls activities that includes planning / scheduling, cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control activities, change management. Directs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. Directs schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities.

This position offers a hybrid/telework schedule:

    Telework - Monday and Friday.
  • Onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.


Responsibilities

Develop Safety Manual and Programs:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive Employee Safety Manual in accordance with SoCalGas' IIPP and safety culture, Industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Creation of Safety programs to include Hazard Recognition, High Energy Control Assessments (HECA), Safety Tailgate Briefings (STB) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).

Training Development and Delivery:

  • Design, develop, and assist in conduct training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to safety protocols.

Change Management:

  • Implement and manage this change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new safety practices across the organization.

Risk Assessment:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure employee safety.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including other utilities, to ensure compliance and alignment with safety standards and best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Incorporate continuous improvements in safety practices and protocols based on feedback from stakeholders and incident evaluations.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety protocols, training, and change management of this project initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: In Safety Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in project management, safety management, or a related field.
  • Experience in the natural gas or energy sector is preferred.

Project Management:

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Safety Management:

  • Extensive knowledge of occupational safety standards, particularly within the natural gas distribution industry.
  • Certifications such as OSHA, Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), or similar are highly desirable.

Training and Development:

  • Experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

Change Management:

  • Solid understanding of change management principles and practices. Experience with frameworks like ADKAR or Prosci is beneficial.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.

Communication:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to assess situations and make data-driven decisions.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Attention to Detail:

  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all tasks.

Technology Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with project management and software tools.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
