The Head of Software Engineering, Data, and Digital Experience will lead the development, quality, and maintenance of digital assets (applications and data), with a key focus on integrating product management principles, ensuring the highest standards of quality engineering, driving continuous innovation, and owning the user experience and interface design.

Additionally, this role will encompass the strategic oversight and implementation of modern technology solutions to further enhance our data capabilities. This role involves strategic planning, technical oversight, and team leadership to ensure the effective management and utilization of software and data engineering, quality, user experience across the organization while fostering a culture of creativity and forward-thinking solutions.



Your Impact

    Software Engineering: Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of scalable technology solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and modern engineering standards. Build and manage a team of talented data engineers, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Data Strategy & Master Data: Develop and execute data strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring data governance frameworks are established and maintained. Design and implement data pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources, ensuring efficient data flow across the organization. Establishing data quality standards and data governance policies.
  • Quality Engineering: Establish and enforce quality engineering best practices, including automated testing, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and code quality standards.
  • Technical Product Management: Lead the technical product management team to integrate solutions into product roadmaps, ensure data-driven product development, and align engineering efforts with the consumer value chain and outcomes.
  • Architecture Design & Development: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, robust, and secure technology solutions. Ensure the architecture integrates effectively with existing systems and supports future growth and scalability.
  • User Experience and Interface Design: Take ownership of the overall user experience and interface design, working closely with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless, intuitive, and visually appealing user interfaces. Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, translating them into architectural solutions. Provide technical expertise and guidance to senior management, presenting complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation within the team by encouraging experimentation, creative problem-solving, and the exploration of new technologies and methodologies. Including leading the development and deployment of AI and machine learning models, ensuring their integration into data platforms and their alignment with business goals.


Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in creating large-scale data engineering pipelines and data-based decision-making tools.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing and motivating technical teams
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data architectures, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and D3.
  • Managing cloud-based data infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, data quality, and code management.
  • Strong knowledge of data security and compliance best practices
  • Familiarity with machine learning models and predictive modeling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in data engineering principles and technologies (data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT, streaming data processing)
  • Experience in a leadership role within a data engineering or platform engineering team.
  • Experience in technical product management, including working with product roadmaps, product development, and aligning engineering efforts with product goals.
  • Experience in quality engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, and maintaining high code quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation within a technical team, including experience with emerging technologies and creative problem-solving.
  • Proven experience in UX/UI design and a strong understanding of user experience principles.
