SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
NextDecade Corporation is seeking a dynamic, technically experienced Manager of Infrastructure and Energy Supply to join our team. This individual will play an important role in supporting the development of our infrastructure and energy supply projects, focusing on gas transportation, gas storage and power supply arrangements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to development of infrastructure and energy supply strategy in alignment with NextDecade's overarching business objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Conduct technical and commercial due diligence on infrastructure and energy supply initiatives.
  • Identify and quantify risks in infrastructure and energy supply assets / commercial arrangements.
  • Interface with NextDecade project, operations and technical teams to understand detailed power and gas demand profiles under multiple scenarios.
  • Track physical gas flow data and gas composition across the Texas gas grid to model expected gas compositional data at RGLNG under a range of scenarios.
  • Assess operational flexibility in supply pipelines. Model pipeline flow and pressure scenarios.
  • Estimate fuel gas usage and gas transportation costs on our gas transportation capacity.
  • Evaluate technical risks and costs of potential pipeline projects.
  • Identify and evaluate optimization and efficiency opportunities in the operationalization of infrastructure and energy supply assets / arrangements.
  • Support negotiations and structuring of energy supply and infrastructure agreements with third parties.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Legal, Finance, Engineering, and Project Development to ensure seamless execution of infrastructure and energy supply initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in the energy supply space to inform decision-making and optimize opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with industry partners, and key stakeholders to support business development efforts.
Minimum/preferred experience required for the position:
  • 10+ years of technical or commercial experience in the energy industry.
Minimum/preferred knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical, analytical or project development roles within the energy industry.
  • Strong modelling and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and financial modeling principles.
  • Strong analytical and risk management skills with the ability to assess risk and opportunity in dynamic market environments.
  • Strong negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and with various internal departments.
  • Possess a strong sense of initiative and a commitment to delivering excellencein a team environment.
  • Proven ability to influence others.
  • Strong communication and team-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Required/preferred education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related field.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.
