The Department of Rural Health - Area Health Education Center within the Office of Medical Education is pleased to announce the opening of a position for a Business Support Specialist I. This position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day transactional accounting and programmatic support within the department. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills, be flexible, diplomatic, and adaptable to engaging with multiple priorities simultaneously.

Primary responsibilities Include:

* Providing fiscal support through processing and monitoring purchase orders, voucher payments, requisitions, general procurement, one-card reconciliation, expense account reconciliation, and reimbursements.
* Providing support in the processing, documenting, and monitoring of travel-related items such as scheduling and booking, auto-leasing, reconciliation, and reimbursement requests.
* Providing programmatic/administrative support for the department programs and other projects/events as assigned. This includes scheduling and assisting with events, conferences, and projects. May develop associated marketing materials.
* Assist in the completion of credentialing and set-up of preceptors with courtesy faculty appointments with MU SOM and the processing of affiliation agreements with teaching sites.
* Provide general administrative support in the form of assisting with room reservations, processing printing service orders, catering, meeting requests, and recording meeting minutes.

Shift Type: Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm
(Clinical) Office/Administrative Hours: No - Position will not have Office/Admin Hours
Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: Yes

High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Prior experience with Microsoft Office
Years of Experience: 1 yr
Additional Training: PeopleSoft, Database Entry & Management, Microsoft Office Suite.

Hiring Range: $14.51 - $22.00
