Overview

FTI is hiring a Senior MBSE Engineer, to provide dedicated MBSE support to the US Space Force, Space Systems Command Defensive Cyber Operations-Space (DCO-S) program office. This position provides support to the DCO-S Architect Lead as part of an integrated team focusing to providing analysis of current and future technology solutions for the DCO-S mission.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Execute the model-based systems engineering (MBSE) effort based on Govt direction.
  • Implement systems engineering processes using MBSE Tools.
  • Depict technical approaches, designs, block diagrams, and implementations in written and graphical form.
  • Required to work onsite at government or government leased facility.


Education/Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Software, Network, Computer) or Computer Science ABET accredited school is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in MBSE.
  • Proficient using systems engineering modeling tools (e.g., CORE, Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw or MapleMBSE) to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification & validation, and continuing throughout development and later life-cycle phases.
  • Demonstrated ability to devise solutions for complex problems that require in-depth analysis of tangible and intangible factors.
  • Experience with the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to systems engineering.
  • Experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary project team that may include engineers, scientists, designers, and technicians.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment; present and explain technical information to colleagues, management, or sponsors.
  • You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.

Desired:

  • Master's degree in engineering.
  • INCOSE certification.
  • Space systems background.
  • Velocity templating language.
  • Understanding of versioning control and database management.
  • Understanding of frameworks such as Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Tactical Open Government Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and languages such as Unified Modeling Language (UML) and System Modeling Language (SysML).
  • Project management experience, to include management of administrative requirements and deliverable tracking.

For this role, the annual compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($106,266.00 - $177,333.00). Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
