HX5 is currently seeking a Dynamic Energy Conversion / Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will provide engineering test support for technology development of advanced dynamic energy conversion concepts. The individual will support the design, development, troubleshooting, and testing of test stations for dynamic energy conversion technology in support of radioisotope power systems development. This work includes testing of Stirling convertors. The individual will identify methodologies, instrumentation, and supporting test equipment as needed, as well as support the set- up of test hardware, data systems, and related support equipment and evaluate and document test results.

Required Skills:

• Experience interfacing with data systems such as LabVIEW.
• Experience in Python.
• Facility and/or power system test support experience.
• Experience working with electrical schematic software such as Altium or Cadence.
• Ability to modifying circuits in custom-designed electrical panels.
• Test support background.

Other Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of IPC/IEEE standards.
• Technical report writing skills.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience or Master's degree with 3 to 6 years of experience.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
