Day Co., Inc., a respected paving and excavation company that operates in Maryland and Virginia, is seeking a skilled Certified Quality Control Plant Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our asphalt products. This role involves routine inspections, equipment monitoring, and thorough documentation to maintain compliance with company standards and industry regulations. Candidates MUST who hold a valid VA or MD Plant Certification such as MARTCP. Job Duties:

Work Environment: The QC Plant Technician will work in a dynamic and physically demanding environment at an asphalt production facility. The work setting includes both indoor and outdoor conditions, with exposure to varying weather elements such as heat, cold, rain, and wind. The role requires working near heavy machinery, conveyor belts, and high-temperature materials, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols. Technicians will frequently navigate uneven surfaces, climb ladders, and access elevated areas to perform sampling and testing. The work involves standing for extended periods, lifting materials or equipment, and operating testing instruments in a lab and field setting. Dust, noise, and odors from asphalt materials are common in the environment, making the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) essential. This role requires attention to detail in fast-paced conditions, working both independently and as part of a team to ensure quality control standards are met. Occasionally, the technician may be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime to meet production demands. Benefits:
