About the role We are looking for an Infrastructure Software Engineer to join our growing Cloud Infrastructure and HPC Platform team. You'll work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, high performance computing, and distributed systems. This is a hybrid role in Pleasanton, CA. What you will be doing You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable, reliable systems in the cloud. You'll collaborate with software engineering teams to improve delivery pipelines, drive automation, and ensure high system availability and performance. Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure and HPC systems. Improve infrastructure reliability and scalability through automation and observability. Collaborate with software engineers to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices. Monitor infrastructure and application performance; proactively identify and resolve system issues and bottlenecks. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible. Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure, systems, and procedures. Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support production systems. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps/SRE roles using Python or Golang. 3 years of hands-on Linux systems engineering and operational experience. Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD tooling. Preferred Skills and Experience Proficiency in shell scripting and one or more programming languages (Python, Go preferred). Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (setup, configuration, and maintenance). Familiarity with deployment tools such as ArgoCD. Deep understanding of Linux internals, kernel tuning, networking, and performance optimization. Experience managing large-scale NAS systems and a solid understanding of the NFS protocol. Ability to analyze and debug complex distributed systems. Excellent documentation practices and communication skills. A proactive mindset and eagerness to adopt new technologies. Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
