Join Our Dynamic Program and Business Development Team

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our growing Program and Business Development team! This role will report to the Director, Program and Business Development. The Program and Business Development team is responsible for growing existing and identifying new Commercial and Industrial (C & I) program initiatives that drive growth aligned with CEE's strategic plan.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the technical direction of a dynamic and evolving department dedicated to advancing energy efficiency. You will oversee engineering support for energy assessments, code compliance, building simulation, and other C & I initiatives while developing streamlined processes and fostering continuous improvement. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic leadership, and project execution skills to ensure high-quality deliverables and the successful launch of new projects and programs. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting C & I business development efforts including proposal preparation for new initiatives. This position provides direct supervisory support to a team of engineers and technical staff.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Management



  • Directly supervise and support a team of engineers and technical staff, ensuring high performance and professional growth
  • Assign and oversee engineering resources to support department initiatives and energy efficiency programs
  • Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to engineers


Technical Excellence & Process Development



  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of all technical deliverables, reports, and calculations
  • Develop, update, and maintain standardized energy efficiency calculations and methodologies
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to develop and improve critical processes and technologies


Business Development & Proposal Support



  • Provide technical expertise in developing energy efficiency program proposals, including measure savings analysis and incentive structures
  • Influence technology strategies and decisions with a high-level of expertise and knowledge


Program & Project Execution



  • Oversee the launch of new energy efficiency projects and programs, ensuring effective execution and stakeholder collaboration
  • Provide technical support to ensure program operations align with best practices and industry standards
  • Represent the engineering team in cross-functional committees and working groups as needed


Skills & Knowledge We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy efficiency or related engineering fields
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing engineers and technical staff
  • Strong experience in technical assessments and calculating energy use
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)


Preferred Qualifications



  • Relevant credentials (e.g., P.E., Certified Energy Manager)
  • Commercial and Industrial segment experience preferred


Compensation

Dependent on qualifications and experience, we expect the pay range upon hire for this position will be $135,000-140,000 per year.
