Responsibilities
Architect & Optimize Solutions - Develop
SOA solutions and
system architectures using
DoDAF standards, ensuring scalability, cost-efficiency, and risk mitigation. Conduct
trade analyses to optimize system performance while balancing non-functional requirements.
- Lead System Engineering & Development - Drive the design, development, and integration of complex hardware/software systems, overseeing requirements analysis, system architecture, interface standards, and end-to-end flow analysis.
- Mitigate Risks & Reduce Costs - Use validated models, simulations, and prototyping to minimize development risks and costs. Develop and evaluate system design alternatives considering lifecycle costs, scalability, complexity, and growth.
- Ensure Effective System Management - Oversee periodic configuration reviews to maintain the integrity of evolving hardware, software, and documentation. Serve on the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to guide strategic system changes.
- Proactive Risk & Decision Management - Identify and monitor risks using Earned Value Management (EVM) while developing alternative solutions, workarounds, and contingency plans. Contribute to Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) efforts, recommending the best course of action based on feasibility, technology limitations, and lifecycle impact.
- Shape the Future of Technology - Provide technical leadership in integrating new requirements, designs, and technologies into existing systems.
- Oversee Implementation & Compliance - Ensure seamless execution by developing system engineering management plans and integration/testing strategies to support implementation.
- Engage with Government Stakeholders - Collaborate with government officials to address technical challenges, resolve issues, and align system development with mission objectives.
- Own Technical Integrity - Take full responsibility for the accuracy and effectiveness of all work performed and deliverables produced.
- Communicate & Collaborate at All Levels - Work closely with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives to drive success and ensure alignment with overarching goals.
Qualifications
- Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
- Bachelor's in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field (or 5 extra years of SE experience in place of a degree).
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required

Target Salary Range
$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
