Summary: The Warehouse Associate IV requires expertise in operating forklifts, high lifts, roll clamps, and box clamps to efficiently handle materials and ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Freight Handling


  • Efficiently and safely load and unload freight with precision and accuracy.
  • Properly stack products in designated storage areas using appropriate equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, scissor lifts, and roll clamp attachments.
  • Rotate products according to customer specifications to ensure compliance with inventory requirements.


Order Fulfillment


  • Accurately pick, assemble, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, or repacking tasks as needed.
  • Inventory Management
  • Maintain the integrity of customer inventory by conducting regular checks and assisting with physical inventory counts.
  • Identify and immediately report damage, lost, or missing products to warehouse leadership.


Equipment Operation and Maintenance


  • Safely operate all material handling equipment, including high-lift machinery and roll clamp attachments.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure unsafe or out-of-service equipment is placed in designated areas and promptly reported to leadership for repair.


Warehouse Operations


  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and comply with state, local, and federal regulations to ensure warehouse security and safety.
  • Interact professionally with warehouse management, personnel, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.


Documentation and Reporting


  • Complete all required records, reports, and daily paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Assist with additional warehouse projects or duties as assigned.



What You Need:
Experience:


  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operating forklifts, high-lift equipment, and other material-handling tools.
  • Experience with inventory management and order fulfillment processes.



Knowledge:


  • Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and protocols.
  • Understanding of inventory rotation practices and product handling requirements.



Skills:


  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional interaction with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in completing documentation and using inventory management systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.



Physical Demands and Work Environment:


  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally heavier with assistance.
  • Frequent exposure to varying temperatures within the warehouse, including cold storage or outdoor conditions.
  • Fast-paced warehouse setting with frequent use of material handling equipment.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and other typical warehouse conditions.
  • Requires adherence to safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment as necessary.
