The department invites applications for a full-time Lecturer and Studio Recording Specialist who will contribute to the teaching and mentorship of students while overseeing the maintenance and operation of the recording studio. This position plays a crucial role in advancing the department's commitment to high-quality education, creative exploration, and professional preparation in music and digital media.

The primary purpose of the position is provide comprehensive and dynamic education in creative disciplines, fostering an environment where students can excel in the areas of music, visual arts, and digital media. The department's mission is to develop skilled, knowledgeable, and versatile artists, musicians, and digital media specialists who can effectively communicate, create, and collaborate in a diverse, technology-driven world. Service is expected on departmental committees as well as participation in recruitment activities and other departmental service needs.

Demonstrated expertise in studio recording techniques, sound engineering, and audio production.

* Experience teaching studio recording, sound design, and related Digital Media courses at the undergraduate level.

* Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Adobe Audition, and Ableton Live.

* Knowledge of multimedia production, including film/video sound design, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

* Effective communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.

* Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage recording studio facilities.

* Ability to develop and teach additional courses in digital media, such as multimedia production or sound design for film and video.

A terminal degree ( MMA, MFA, MA) in Music Technology, Sound Recording, Media Scoring, Digital Media, or a related field. MMA, MFA, or MA will be accepted with professional experience in the field.
