POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for facilitating and assisting with the implementation and administration of the bank's overall benefit strategy and wellness program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum of 3 years' dedicated experience in benefits administration required.
* Strong knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations and legislation required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; advanced proficiency in Excel required.
* Previous experience working with wellness programs required.
* Experience working with UKG Pro HRIS and EMB/Plan Source system preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate and Administer Benefits Programs - 45%
* Facilitation and administration of all associate benefit programs including group medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), life insurance, worksite voluntary benefits, Employee Assistance Program, Workers Compensation and Tobacco Cessation Program.
* Independently administer ESPP, Fitness Center Reimbursement, Medical Premium Discount Program, Tuition Reimbursement and Telemedicine Program.
* Prepare and audit monthly benefit invoices.
* Complete benefit surveys and benchmarking exercises with accuracy, perform analysis of results, prepare recommendations for potential benefit design and/or program changes and present findings.
* Maintain accurate benefit data in HRIS and other vendor systems.
* Research potential benefit design and/or program changes and present findings and recommendations.
* Participate in the open enrollment selection and pricing process, implementation and testing of new plans with internal team, carriers, and enrollment vendor.
* Actively participate in vendor transitions including requesting bids, reviewing contracts, checking vendor references, contract and third-party risk assessment and implementation meeting tasks.
* Collaborate with internal team members and enrollment vendors in the design, implementation, and improvement of benefit processes and procedures.
* Monitor the necessary file interfaces between Republic and vendors to ensure proper data reporting.
* Assist with preparation of communication materials, maintaining SharePoint/websites and other media for communicating plans to associates.
* Lead annual Total Compensation Statement project.
* Ensure all benefits are administered in accordance with Plan Documents.
* Responsible for running reports, compiling, and managing data to keep management informed.
* Responsible for maintaining current policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.
Address Associate Benefits Inquiries - 25%
* Independently apply procedures, policy manuals, knowledge base, and other reference materials to assist in answering associate/manager inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Resolve escalated associate service issues as it relates to benefits and supporting programs.
* Ensure associates are properly enrolled in benefit plans and resolve system eligibility and service issues in a timely and courteous manner.
Administer Wellness and Benefits Education - 20%
* Manage wellness program.
* Drive associate understanding and culture of well-being through development of effective communication tools and resources.
* Coordinate benefit education and benefit awareness efforts to include communication, activities and campaigns.
Vendor Management - 10%
* Develop strong vendor relationships to help drive benefit process efficiency and compliance resulting in overall employee satisfaction and fiscal responsibility.
* Participate in vendor management and serve as a point of contact with vendors to escalate issues, seek resolutions, hold vendors accountable, and build and maintain productive working relationships.
General Job Functions

* Keep manager informed of pertinent information including vendor concerns, Associate issues and compliance gaps.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
* Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be necessary at times.
* Occasional out of town travel could be required.
* Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings and weekends.
* Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
