As a Clinical Operations Manager at Acentra Health, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the growth, strategy, and execution of our clinical operations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee day-to-day operations across Clinical Operations, Utilization Management, and Clinical Review functions, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and positive patient outcomes.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing staff performance, workflow optimization, and policy enforcement while fostering a culture of excellence. You will also oversee correspondence with external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between clients and internal teams. Additionally, you will provide regular operational status reports to leadership, offering insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage clinical operations and related programs while directly supervising clinical support staff. Coordinate special initiatives, such as automated outreach systems and incentive programs, to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized procedures and best practices to ensure the successful achievement of departmental and program goals.
  • Monitor, analyze, and manage key business and financial metrics to drive operational success. Track and report progress toward strategic goals through regular performance reviews and data-driven insights.
  • Coordinate all aspects of clinical operations, including program management, scheduling, workflow oversight, status reporting, and issue resolution tracking, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Act as the primary point of leadership in the absence of the Director of Operations, assuming full operational responsibilities as needed.
  • Proactively identify, address, and resolve operational challenges within the program or department. Delegate issues to appropriate personnel for timely resolution, ensuring continuous workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative team environment, participating in leadership discussions, committees, and cross-functional workgroups to drive informed decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Successfully manage change and drive organizational growth, ensuring seamless transitions and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for department employees, providing constructive feedback and coaching to drive professional growth and high performance
  • Managing diverse customer needs, ensuring client satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, depending on program requirements.
  • The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties that management may deem necessary.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license required, such as LPN, RN, or Social Worker License, in accordance with State and/or Compact State regulations per contract requirements.
  • 3 to 5 years of recent management experience, demonstrating leadership in a clinical operations setting.
  • Experience in both public and private healthcare sectors, with a background in government and commercial healthcare programs.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, with a strong foundation in patient care and healthcare operations.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in utilization review, with expertise in clinical assessment, compliance, and medical necessity evaluations.
  • Strong understanding of corporate decision-making processes and organizational structures, with the ability to navigate complex business environments.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and optimizing operations, including the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and process improvements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry, preferably with experience in both public and private sector healthcare programs.
  • Ability to assess available resources and operational environments, develop strategic action plans, and align initiatives with the company's mission and long-term objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in P&L management, operational process optimization, remote workforce management, and supporting new business development initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of business development, strategic planning, tactical implementation, and partnership creation to support long-term organizational success.
  • Expertise in employee development and performance management, with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead teams to success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) with the ability to quickly adapt to proprietary software applications.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 annual base salary

Based on our compensation program, an applicant's position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
