The Opportunity:

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the development, communication and implementation of compensation policies and programs to support organization needs. Build relationships with People Business Partners and aid the business through analysis and guidance on compensation programs including job architecture, market competitiveness and incentive pay.

* Location: New York City (55 Water Street, NYC), Sun Prairie, WI

* Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week

* The starting salary for this role is between $107,000.00 and $200,500.00

Your new role
* Participate in the development of compensation strategies through creative input combined with data analysis and a deep understanding of the company's future challenges
*Analyze, communicate and administer compensation policies, processes, and programs in alignment with QBE's strategy and DNA in order to support business objectives and ensure compliance and competitiveness
*Lead components of annual reward cycles, such as annual merit review process, including data validation, system testing, process improvement and education of People Business Partners
*Optimize efficiency by identifying opportunities to improve compensation programs, recommending innovative solutions and providing relevant information to key decision makers to streamline and standardize process
*Research and analyze issues based on market information and provide recommendations to resolve business issues
*Validate data for various compensation surveys to ensure a competitive market position
*Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to enable proper understanding of compensation programs and its various impacts (financial, risk, etc.)
*Perform compliance reviews and analysis to ensure compensation programs are compliant, market competitive and equitable
*Act as a point of reference to guide and advise team to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practice
*Contribute and support wider People projects that include a reward remit, such as participation on global reward team projects

Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
* Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

Preferred Skills
* Proficient in MS Excel (specific proficiency with V-lookup, pivot tables, macros, and advanced formatting)
*Strong analytic and numeric skills
*Utilize effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication
*High attention to detail and accuracy
*Generate original, innovative solutions to difficult or unusual situations
*Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills across the organization
*Adapt and be flexible in a complex, changing environment
*Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities
*Work independently; with guidance in only the most complex situation
*Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Preferred Knowledge
* Knowledge of compensation theory, philosophies, best practices and trends
*Strong financial and business acumen
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
*Knowledge of current employment legislation, corporate governance, risk management, significant events and its impact on compensation programs
*Knowledge of confidentiality requirements associated with the practice of Human Resources

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
