We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sr. Director of Logistics to join our Ingredients + Specialties business!

As a key leader within Univar Solutions, you will drive operational excellence, optimize supply chain performance, and enhance service capabilities across North America. This role is a unique opportunity to shape and elevate our warehousing and transportation logistics strategies and execution, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and scalability as we continue to grow.

You will be responsible for the overall financial planning, strategic coordination, direction, implementation, and execution of operations across both one of the three geographic regions within the United States and Canada inclusive of all warehousing and transportation service providers common carrier and third-party fleet activities.

What you'll do

• Build & Lead a High-Performing Logistics Team - Develop and inspire a best-in-class leadership team across Warehousing, Inventory Control, Transportation, and other strategic focus areas. Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Optimize Logistics Operations - Ensure the right talent is in place and that processes align with our business objectives. Champion a high-performance attitude, driving operational excellence across all logistics functions.

• Deliver Key Business Results - Drive the achievement of annual financial, operational, and safety goals, ensuring cost efficiency and risk mitigation within the I&S SCOPS team.

• Strategically Manage Third-Party Partnerships - Lead the identification, contracting, auditing, and performance management of third-party warehouse, terminal, and transportation providers. Ensure these partnerships deliver on safety, service, and cost objectives while enhancing overall supply chain capabilities.

• Oversee Inventory & Logistics Execution - Take ownership of daily logistics operations, including inventory management, to ensure seamless execution, optimal stock levels, and service excellence.

• Shape the Future of Univar Solutions' Logistics Network - Contribute to the ongoing strategy and development of our North American logistics and fulfillment network. Play a key role in scaling capabilities to support business growth, new supplier integration, and product expansion.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a strong background in operations, transportation, and logistics within the chemical and ingredients distribution sector.

• Proven track record of building, leading, and inspiring large, complex teams while balancing operational execution with strategic business objectives. Creates a high-performance culture.

• Deep understanding of supply chain profitability drivers and how to optimize safety, service, and cost and quality to drive business success.

• Skilled at navigating complex environments, influencing at all levels (up, down, and across), and aligning teams around key priorities.

• You are a leader who hires, develops, and retains top talent through coaching, feedback, and strategic growth opportunities to build a high-performing team. Proactively addresses performance to ensure a high-impact team.

• Thrives in fast-paced environments, anticipating challenges and adapting strategies to deliver results. Capable of managing sensitive issues with discretion and foresight.
