Crawford County Human Services has an immediate need for Clerk Typist 2 candidates. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform varied, highly responsible, often confidential clerical work for the mental health base service unit. Responsibilities involve working closely with case managers, providers, and consumers to ensure timely delivery of appropriate services. Work includes typing, editing, revising, and proofreading a variety of documents. You will also enter data into a computer program, file and retrieve paperwork, and attend and participate in meetings. Other duties for this role include scheduling meetings, making phone calls, and covering the agency switchboard or reception desk as needed. We will rely on your sensitivity, good judgment, and strong interpersonal skills to help our staff collaborate effectively with consumers, families, social service agencies, community resources, coworkers, and the general public. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Overtime as needed.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
  • Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
  • Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
