This is for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products.
Job Overview

• Location: Austin, Texas
• Contract Duration: 18 months
• Company: Leading supplier of ion implantation equipment for semiconductor chip fabrication
• Shift: Days, 8 am to 5 pm
• Pay: $30 to $34 per hour

• Education: Bachelor's degree
• Experience: 1 to 10 years of experience
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is preferable
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment
• Purchasing: Business-related items such as spares and parts; familiar with this product tools; CVD buyer tasks; Create purchase orders showing supplier lead times and approved prices and latest drawing to BOM suppliers: Following order management processes for supplier delivery tracking, ECN implementation, FAI process, and outstanding GR & IR follow-up; recommend new suppliers

• Perform direct purchasing of business-related items such as spares and parts.
• Understand the product and be familiar with tools.
• Access detailed drawings and specifications related to part numbers to provide information to suppliers.
• Require Teamcenter access for CVD buyer tasks.
• Use SAP for day-to-day work, like the RFT buyer role.
• Create purchase orders (PO) according to supplier lead times and approved prices and provide the latest drawings and BOM to suppliers.
• Manage supplier order delivery schedules and update them timely in SAP.
• Follow existing order management processes for supplier delivery tracking, ECN implementation, FAI process, and outstanding GR & IR follow-up.
• Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory levels.
• Work with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers.
