About the Role:

Guitar Center is seeking a Manager of Supply Chain Systemsto lead the team responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting technologies that optimize our fulfillment operations. This role involves evaluating and deploying innovative solutions, collaborating with operational leaders, and managing vendor relationships to enhance efficiency across our distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Leadtwo full-time employees in developing and supporting fulfillment technologies.
  • Identify, evaluate, test, and implement new technologies to improve distribution center operations.
  • Manage and maintain our warehouse management, automated picking, conveyor, and auxiliary systems leveraged by our distribution centers.
  • Educate operational leaders on technology applications and integration within Guitar Center's fulfillment processes.
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand strategic goals and operational needs.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations.
  • Define the scope of technology evaluations for distribution centers and warehouses.
  • Collaborate with vendors to conduct pilot tests before large-scale implementation.
  • Develop cost estimates and business cases for new technology initiatives.
  • Refine and adapt technology solutions based on pilot test insights.
  • Oversee projects from inception to successful completion.
  • Conduct site visits to assess technology performance and adoption.
  • Influence cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to completion.


To join our band, you'll need the following experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehousing technologies.
  • Experience in managing direct reports, including strong examples of leadership and/or mentoring team members.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Retail or music industry experience is highly recommended.
  • Based in Kansas City, MO, or willing to relocate, with the ability to work in-office at least three days per week.

Pay Rate: Base range of $115,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on background and experience.
