What you'll do:

As a Director of Product Management, you will lead the discovery, development, and delivery of innovative products that drive business growth and customer value in the supply chain and procurement technology space, with a strong emphasis on ownership and execution excellence. This role demands a blend of strategic vision and technical expertise as you identify, validate, and prioritize high-impact opportunities that address the unique challenges of supply chain and procurement processes.

You will define product requirements, shape the product roadmap, and make data-driven decisions to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency, customer response, inventory performance, planning accuracy, resilience to risk, supplier collaboration, and/or procurement outcomes. Taking full ownership of product outcomes, you will ensure seamless execution by overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle and driving cross-functional collaboration across leadership, engineering, design, legal, and business stakeholders. You will deliver high-quality products on time and within scope. Additionally, you will champion emerging technologies like AI/ML, blockchain, and IoT, foster a culture of continuous innovation, and inspire teams to achieve measurable business outcomes.

This role has significant impact on strategic product roadmaps and cross-functional teams. It involves managing smaller product squads, including remote and vendor teams, with potential for building and growing a team of product managers and specialists.

Key Responsibilities




  • Drive Product Discovery: Conduct customer research, market analysis, and prototype testing to identify and validate innovative product opportunities in supply chain management (SCM) and procurement. Ensure alignment with business objectives by addressing industry-specific pain points like supplier risk, cost optimization, and real-time visibility



  • Decision-Making Ownership: Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate ideas and make informed go/no-go recommendations, balancing technical feasibility and business value



  • Domain-Specific Market Insight: Continuously assess supply chain trends (e.g., risk and resilience, sustainability, geopolitical shifts, autonomous planning & response, value chain orchestration) and procurement challenges (e.g., supplier traceability & risk, multi-tier network visibility, strategic sourcing during trade wars) to guide product strategy toward business outcomes. Maintain competitive intelligence vs competitors and ensure focus on strengthening key differentiators to drive wins



  • Strategic Roadmap Planning: Define and prioritize features based on business impact, feasibility, and user needs. Focus on capabilities like spend analytics, supplier collaboration tools, and demand forecasting solutions. Maintain a clear, actionable roadmap aligned with organizational goals and timelines



  • Engage directly with customers, supply chain leaders, and industry experts to validate product hypotheses and inform roadmap decisions



  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy: Work closely with Marketing, and Consulting Practice & Industry Line Leaders to define and optimize go-to-market strategies, messaging, and customer adoption plans for procurement and supply chain solutions



  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, business product owners, supply chain experts, legal and compliance, and business leaders to ensure alignment on product objectives and feasibility throughout the development lifecycle



  • Leadership and Innovation: Provide guidance to product squads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and exploring emerging technologies like AI/ML, blockchain for supply chain transparency, and IoT for real-time tracking to maintain a competitive edge



  • End-to-End Product Delivery: Oversee the entire product development process, including sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features that address logistics bottlenecks, procurement inefficiencies, and operational disruptions. Work with field and consulting teams to ensure high customer adoption and success



  • Performance Optimization: Define and track product and domain-specific key performance metrics (KPIs) and analyze data and user feedback to optimize product performance and drive iterative improvements




What you'll need




  • 10+ years of experience in technical product management or a related role, with a successful track record of delivering supply chain or procurement technology solutions to market



  • Strong technical background, with knowledge of software development methodologies, web technologies, AI, and cloud platforms. Experience with SCM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, e2open, Coupa, o9, Kinaxis, Manhattan Associates) or procurement solutions is highly preferred



  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving supply chain efficiency and procurement value



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making. Understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier lifecycle management is highly preferred



  • Analytical mindset, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with supply chain analytics tools or procurement dashboards is highly desirable



  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and SDLC management tools



  • Proven leadership skills, including inspiring and motivating cross-functional product squads towards a common goal



  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Product Management, or related field is a plus



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English



  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise



  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday

    The salary range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $170,000/year - $400,000/year with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
