CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Lead UX Designer to join our talented Digital Solutions team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

The Lead UX Designer will drive the development and execution of a customer-centric UX strategy, aligning with the company's vision and product roadmap. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will integrate business objectives with UX design principles, leading to innovative digital experiences. Your expertise will span the entire design cycle, from research and concepting to prototyping, testing, and delivery. As a UX leader, you will champion usability, accessibility, and design system standards, ensuring seamless user experiences that meet business goals and customer needs. You will also mentor and guide other UX designers, contribute to design standards and governance, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

How you'll create opportunities in this Lead UX Designer role:

Design and Development

  • Design and validate new experiences via wireframes, prototypes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other UX artifacts. Collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to align project goals, feasibility, and timelines.

Behavioral Economics

  • Apply principles of behavioral economics to craft user experiences that influence user behavior and decision-making.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute a UX strategy aligned with the company's vision and product roadmap, advocating for customer-centric design practices across the organization.

User Research

  • Partner with the User Experience Researcher to gather insights through surveys, interviews, usability tests, ethnographic studies, and heuristic evaluations, informing design decisions.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to align design goals with business objectives. Facilitate workshops and design sprints to drive innovation and problem-solving. Effectively communicate design decisions and negotiate priorities with stakeholders. I

Innovation

  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices. Integrate new methodologies and technologies into the design process to enhance efficiency and creativity.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

  • Ensure all designs and user experiences are accessible to users with disabilities and inclusive of diverse user groups.

Continuous Improvement

  • Implement processes for continuous feedback and improvement of the user experience, leveraging user feedback and analytics. Define and track key metrics to measure design success.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential UX risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

Design System and Standards

  • Maintain and evolve the design system, ensuring consistency across products and experiences. Establish and enforce UX design standards and governance across the organization.

Delivery Management

  • Drive strategic initiatives via proof-of-concept designs and prototypes. Assist in estimating project tasks and defining project scope. Deliver UX delivery work within agreed-upon deadlines.

UX Leadership

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other UX designers, promoting best practices and contributing to their growth and development. Lead UX initiatives, leveraging project management and leadership skills to drive successful outcomes.

Communication and Presentation

  • Effectively articulate design decisions, facilitating workshops and presenting to various stakeholders. Develop and maintain clear documentation of design processes, decisions, and outcomes.

Adaptability and Flexibility

  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment, prioritizing tasks, and adjusting to new requirements. Communicate changes to stakeholders, manage resistance, and ensure a smooth transition.

What you will need:

  • Six years of experience in UI/UX designs and working as a team member on multiple projects or applications.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
    • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital products and design projects, including both Web-based, and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Knowledge of Agile SAFe methodologies.
