Summary:

As aBehavioral Health Therapist (LCSW or LPC)you will provide therapeutic services to children and families at our neighborhood outpatient clinics. Therapeutic interventions include individual counseling, family therapy, crisis intervention, andproviding ongoing psychoeducation to children and their families to help them cope with acute and chronic medical and mental health conditions to promote wellness and maintain functional behaviors. The Behavioral Health Therapist works with the patient's primary care physician and treatment team to advance the medical plan of care. The therapist will also collaborate with various agencies to support the family's effort in caring for their child.Our community-based neighborhood clinics provide complete wrap-around services for children (birth through adolescence). Our staff includes pediatricians, clinical staff, administrative staff, and family support staff who work in collaboration to provide complete care for children at every age and stage.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work,or related field required

  • LCSW or LPC License with the state of Texas required

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and teens

  • Experience working in health care or multidisciplinary setting

  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus

  • Previous experience providing therapeutic interventions

  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to plan and organize effectively

  • Proficient in the use of various computer applications
