Are you looking for a flexible schedule that allows you to work overnights only on the weekends and still receive full-time benefits? Join University Health Behavioral Health Parker House Group Home as a Mental Health Technician on our weekend overnight team! Work Saturday and Sunday, 7 PM-7:30 AM, while earning both a weekend shift differential and an overnight shift differential. Enjoy full-time benefits and the option to pick up additional shifts for extra income.

What You'll Do:

As a Mental Health Technician on our weekend overnight shift team, you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate care to residents while ensuring the smooth operation of our residential care facility. This role blends meaningful client interaction with essential overnight responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to make a real difference. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engage and Support Residents: Spend time with residents during the evening hours, providing emotional support and engaging them in light, meaningful activities to help them unwind.

  • Medication Administration: Assist with administering morning medications (training provided) and ensure proper documentation.

  • Client Wellness Checks: Conduct regular rounds to monitor residents while they sleep, ensuring safety, comfort, and peace of mind throughout the night.

  • Administrative Duties: Complete key overnight tasks, including billing, shift reports, and documentation updates to prepare for daytime staff.

  • Facility Maintenance: Perform light cleaning, safety checks on equipment, and other tasks to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

  • Prepare for Day Shift: Coordinate and ensure all preparations are completed for a smooth handoff to the daytime team.

Qualifications

We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who meet the following minimum qualifications and can contribute to a supportive environment for our residents:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (no college degree required).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 120 days of hire and maintain it for continued employment.

  • Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) Licensure: Complete the licensure course and exam within the first 90 days of employment. Certification must remain current per the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS).

  • Driver's License: Obtain a valid Class E Missouri or Kansas driver's license. Must be comfortable and competent operating a 15-passenger van within 6 months of employment and obey all traffic laws while on duty.

  • Family Care Registry Clearance: Successfully clear the Family Care Registry background check.

  • Training: Complete all required training as outlined during orientation and by leadership within established timelines for continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Patient Care Experience: Preference for candidates with documented experience assisting patients with activities of daily living (e.g. home health or residential experience).

  • Mental Health Experience: Prior experience in a mental health care setting is highly valued.
