Job Overview

The Shared Services Accounting Intern will provide support to the Shared Services Department by performing a variety of tasks and responsibilities, gaining hands-on experience in various facets of accounting and corporate finance. The intern will work closely with experienced professionals, assisting with day-to-day account analysis/reconciliations, government reporting, and other activities while gaining insight into the operational aspects of the finance function.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with Governmental Reporting by compiling financial data reports and working with others within the organization to accumulate required data. Report data will be submitted via the US Census Bureau and Bureau of Economic Analysis websites.
  • Assist with Vendor Master Data cleansing project to standardize and unify vendor master data between the KNA and KMT systems.
  • Perform general ledger account analysis to identify items that can be cleared.
  • Assist with reconciliation of various bank accounts.
  • Review intercompany invoices that are blocked and determine if receipts exist so invoices can be released for payment.
  • Others general SSC tasks or project participation as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
