Public Relations Director, U.S. and corporate PR lead

We're seeking a high-energy and enthusiastic public relations director to join our team. As a member of the global communications team, you will lead our corporate PR efforts and U.S. PR program to engage and inform external audiences through media relations and events. You are an expert in technology industry communications, have extensive experience driving earned media programs, and have the executive presence and drive to manage programs and support c-level leadership. Ideally, you have 10-15+ years of experience in external communications, have demonstrably worked with c-level executives, have earned trust and results with business and top-tier trade press, and possess exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills. High attention to detail, planning and organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining composure under pressure is essential. This position reports to the senior director of global PR with a dotted line to the head of global communications. The role is hybrid and needs to be within commuting distance of our headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Responsibilities



  • Responsible for driving corporate, U.S. and supporting crisis PR programs, including helping drive executive-focused media coverage.
  • Be focused on business and top-tier trade media in the U.S., creating and developing corporate/thought leadership story ideas, identifying and at times pitching media, and working with PR agency to secure opportunities. Brief leadership and facilitate interviews. Report on success and prepare media coverage for sharing on social media and internally with Juniper employees.
  • Partner closely with global PR team members and act as one of team leaders.
  • Work across the organization, with PR colleagues and with our U.S. PR agency to create, own and deliver quarterly U.S. PR plans.
  • Develop and drive strategy and execution of customer PR program, working with sales team to uncover and cultivate U.S. based and top-tier customer references for use with media and onstage at events.
  • Work closely with senior executives and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for thought leadership positioning on corporate issues. Contribute to executive presentations, interviews, and speaking engagements at industry conferences and events.
  • Support the global communications team with content, campaigns and events, as they arise and based on organizational priorities.
  • Contribute to social media program, suggesting posts and identifying conversations to which Juniper could contribute.
  • Track and measure success.



Requirements



  • BA/BS degree in communications or a related field, plus 10-15+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent work experience in communications.
  • Exceptional writing, top-notch editing and excellent verbal communications skills.
  • Able to present well to senior leaders and to collaborate with them and their teams effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to think critically about information, opportunities and issues to solve problems calmly and quickly.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills to build relationships across functions and GEOs.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects, unsupervised, in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for communications and technology.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, results driven and deadline oriented.


Minimum Salary: $202,400.00

Maximum Salary:$290,950.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $202,400.00 and $290,950.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
