SUMMARY Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Manager - Operations Planning will develop and continuously improve Strategic Supply Chain model functions to deliver the business goals with a focus on optimizing EBITDA, Order Fulfillment, and Capacity Planning. This includes multi-production facility oversight, 3PL warehouses and terminals with routine cross-regional/cross functional collaboration driving optimization and support within all aspects of Order to Cash network. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Drive customer satisfaction by aligning with manufacturing and distribution facilities to achieve optimal operational efficiencies and Business Unit KPI adherence
- Commercial point of contact for US Operational concerns, market opportunities and systemic customer complaints/needs
- US Supply Chain representative for US Manufacturing Site Asset Teams, R&D New Product Development Team, Marketing Implementation Teams
- Cross regional/global oversight and management of US EPS based Force Majeure declarations as well organization, analysis and application of systems for Sales Allocation, Sales Control and DPAS
- Owner of US ERP/MRP system maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting, planning/S&D execution
- Owner of US S&OE process aligning stake holder inclusion, adherence and continuous improvement
- Leads Operational Planning Team seeking to improve all aspects of Planning, applying most cost-efficient scheduling strategies, executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Facilitates recurring cross regional collaborations with Global Supply Chain and Product Management teams
- Champions learning and growth at a team and individual level, ensuring all members of the team have the opportunity and support to reach their potential
- Support/consultant for Global Commercial, Procurement, Product Management, Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing, Legal, Customer Service, Credit, AP/AR needs and requests as appropriate
- Identify network and ERP system process gaps and work through other functional groups to develop new systems/processes to support
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business with 10-15 years of experience
- Master's degree or MBA (preferred) with 8+ years of experience
- Strong SAP working knowledge
- Ability to develop/lead a high performing team
- APICS certification
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Supply Chain professional with cross functional expertise in Order-to-Cash network (Operations, Planning, Forecasting, Logistics, Procurement, Customer Service)
- Demonstrated capability to effectively lead and implement business change
- Proven ability to lead multi-cultural teams to deliver business goals
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency, able to work independently and within a team
- Excellent mentorship, coaching and organization skills
- Proficient in balancing details vs. bigger picture with exceptional ability to conceptualize challenges and requirements for success
- Verifiable record of identifying/implementing continuous improvement ideas and initiatives
- Data gathering and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
- More interested in business results than personal preferences and in group achievement rather than individual achievement
- Meets deadlines and work independently under pressure, with limited supervision
- Ability to clearly make presentations and deliver to others including management verbally and in written form.

- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. During plant visits must be able to climb stairs and ladders in order to access elevated structures and equipment such as towers and columns. Additionally, this position must make general decisions requiring judgement and perform activities requiring sustained concentration. WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate when working in an office, however, some of the work may be required in the operating units which mandates usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and respirators. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel will be required. WORK LOCATION This position will reside at the Stafford, Texas Epoxy site. This person will be required to travel occasionally to other Westlake plant locations in the United States.
