Description

Alfred Williams & Company is seeking a Regional Designer to support our Carolina markets. As one of the largest MillerKnoll dealers in the U.S., we are recognized for our commitment to innovation, collaboration and a people-first culture. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple markets with a strong emphasis on healthcare furniture design and provides the flexibility of a remote/hybrid work model.

Position Overview

This role serves as a vital design resource for multiple AWC studio locations. The Regional Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to programming and presentations and develop technical solutions to meet client needs across healthcare and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration & Communication



  • Support multiple studio teams with remote and occasional in-person collaboration
  • Participate in programming meetings and client presentations
  • Communicate regularly with sales, project managers and vendor partners
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across market teams (Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston, Columbia, Greenville)


Technical Design & Support



  • Develop furniture plans and installation drawings using AutoCAD, CET and CAP
  • Specify product lines; produce proposals and bid packages
  • Prepare materials and finish presentations
  • Conduct site measurements and verifications
  • Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with ADA, building codes and electrical/data standards



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Interior Design (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial furniture design
  • Healthcare design experience is required
  • Proficiency in CET Designer
  • Strong knowledge of MillerKnoll products is preferred
  • Comfortable with occasional travel across NC and SC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
