How can you make an impact?

As a Technical Product Manager, you will act as a product owner for software development teams delivering strategic value for McGraw Hill's K-12 business and Open Learning platform. This role provides product vision for the development teams, leadership of cross-functional implementation coordination, and builds trust across teams of technologists, user experience designers, business stakeholders, and customers.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What can you expect from the position?

  • Collaborate with other Technical Product Managers and stakeholders across the company to uncover, analyze and propose potential solutions for the key problems to be solved.
  • Define and communicate a clear vision for the Agile team's work, and value milestones.
  • Maintain a groomed backlog and prioritize stories for development, effectively managing scope and trade-offs.
  • Partner with Program Managers and Engineering Leads to promote and support the Agile health of your team; ensure cross team dependencies are identified and managed; and ensure timely, high quality software releases.
  • Triage incoming software defects and queries from internal and external customers, following up to ensure defect resolutions meet SLA.
  • Showcase, document and provide training support for the Open Learning platform and the software your team builds.

What can you bring to the role?

  • 2+ Years of Product Management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading Agile- based, software product development teams solving complex challenges.
  • Success coordinating, collaborating and negotiating across teams of software developers, quality engineers, designers, and customer-facing teams.
  • A track record of shipping intuitive, user-centered products at scale.
  • Ability to handle complexity, process new information quickly, and manage dynamic projects with competing resources and priorities.
  • You are a self-starter who works proactively to understand and address the challenges/opportunities ahead of you and your team.
  • Strong communication skills. You are comfortable presenting information tailored to varied audiences. Effectively translating technical ideas to non-technical professionals and vice versa.
  • Passion for, or experience in, educational technology or K-12 education preferred.
  • Enterprise/Platform Software experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is between $98,000 - $125,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
