Daifuku Intralogistics North America is the nation's leading independent, U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems. Position Overview:

The Data Analyst - Intern will be a part of a cross-functional team, using a variety of technologies to assess and understand material usage. Plans, designs, develops, and launches efficient business, financial, and operational processes in support of inventory management goals.

Ideal candidate:

    Local to the Northwest Indiana area. Relocation or housing is not provided for this internship.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not provided for this internship.
  • Internship Duration is Mid-May 2025 to Mid-August 2025.


Responsibilities

  • Prepares and delivers reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in the material management system including maintaining inventory KPIs and valuation levels.
  • Works closely with the Production Control Analyst gathering and analyzing data in support of material control objectives, proposed projects, and process requirements.
  • Collaborates in the planning, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing for deployment of new processes, and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Collaborates with the internal to develop and track stocking levels and reorder points for high volume materials.
  • Conducts ad-hoc training sessions for process, procedure, work-instruction or ERP requirements within Production Control.
  • Willingness to further improve knowledge and skill base through internal and external training.


Qualifications

  • In process of attaining a Bachelors Degree in Data Analytics, Operations Management or similar disciplines.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems and experience with advance user functionality.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods and inventory balancing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other database query tools such as Power Bi.

Pay Rate*: $20.00/hour

*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
