The practice of the Physician Assistant PD shall include medical services within the education, training and experience of physician assistant that are delegated by the supervisingphysician.Medical services rendered by physician assistants mayinclude,but arenotlimited to, obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations; writing progress notes, procedure notes and monthly care plans, ordering and/or performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; offering counseling and education to meet patient needs; making appropriate referrals. Physician Assistants, in an emergency, shall be authorized to treat any medical disease and/or perform any medical and surgical procedures at the hospital for affiliates. An emergency, for these purposed, is defined as a situation in which any delay in administrating treatment would resultinseriousharm to the patient or an immediate threat to life of the patient and that a qualified practitioner is not immediately available. The activities listed above may be performed in any setting authorized by the supervising physician, including but not limited to, clinics, hospitals, and otherinstitution settings.Inaddition to the core skillshere,the PA willrequestvalidation to perform department specificskills. This position requires bi-campus coverage at Moses and Einstein campuses. EDUCATION, TRAINING, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS. AND WORK EXPERIENCE - Graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program. - Registered as a Physician's Assistant In New York State - NCCPA certified .
