We are hiring an Architect to join our team on a hybrid basis! Responsibilities: * Provide expertise during the initial phases of projects, including estimating resources, skill requirements, and timeframes. Identify tools and technologies, and participate in proof of concepts. * Analyze high-level system specifications, business requirements, and use cases. Convert this information into detailed specifications and system design plans for the development team. * Understand and identify system dependencies. Consult with others to validate complex design decisions and provide advanced coding expertise to mitigate high-risk features or technical challenges. * Document design decisions, estimating assumptions, code modules, and performance metrics as required by organizational standards. * Define, conduct, mentor others, and participate in various testing phases (unit, system integration). Prepare, lead, and participate in development walkthroughs. * Collaborate with team members to ensure the effectiveness of system flows, data usage, and manual or automated processes to verify requirements. Requirements: * Proven experience in providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service. * Demonstrated leadership experience with hands-on development in Java and AWS (GCP or Azure is fine too). * Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and communicate complex software/systems. * Experience in developing different solution-delivery and design approaches for customers. * Proficiency in developing complex software/systems using one or more programming languages. * Ability to analyze and estimate project size and work efforts for software solutions. * Experience in providing technical guidance and leadership to less experienced staff. * Extensive knowledge of software development and design standards and methodologies. * In-depth understanding of infrastructure technologies, operating systems, and the interconnectivity between infrastructure platforms and software tools. * Comprehensive knowledge of the systems development life cycle (SDLC). * Solid understanding of application architecture and design alternatives. * Knowledge of integration and migration strategies and technologies. Preferred Qualifications: * 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise development environment * Previous work experience as an Architect * Strong experience in Java and the Spring Framework. * Experience with Cloud (Preferably AWS) Nice to Have: * Payment project experience Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
