Company Overview:

K.D. Analytical, a subsidiary of NOBLE, was founded in 2003 to provide high quality customized training/support to the emerging Military First Responder and the Homeland Defense Community. The staff has over 75 years of combined experience training, supporting and serving the military first responder program and 200 years combined experience supporting and running high-end analytical equipment. The staff is dedicated to supporting, training and innovating existing and emerging technologies in the Homeland Defense community, Environmental Investigations and direct-to-consumer applications.

Position Summary:

The Instrumentation/Calibration Technician 2 will work with the Project Manager (PM) to perform maintenance and install services to clients. This position will work closely with the end user to ensure maximum uptime of equipment used for detecting illegal substances crossing the US borders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maintain customer instrumentation Monday through Friday onsite at customer locations, hours can be between 0600 and 1800, but typically no longer than 8 hours/day.

* Install new equipment purchased by the client.

* Travel to different locations to perform installations and maintenance support.

* Travel requirement of up to 75%

* Performs a variety of analytical and technical support work.

* Ability to diagnose complex equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, effectively implement solutions and/or communicate instructions to end-users.

* Implement and update processes to analyze known and unknown substances.

* Maintains effective customer communications and relations.

* Maintain day-to-day office operations and communications

* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training and on-line meetings

* Service products through an established repair and reporting process

* Field and resolve customer questions and issues via phone, e-mail, or trouble ticket entry

* Implement policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction within an established ISO 9001:2008 system

Experience, Education, Certifications:

* Minimum Associates Degree in a science or engineering field, or equivalent certification.

Competencies:

* Knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanics, and spectroscopy is preferred

* Ability to work as a member of a team

* Analytical and problem-solving skills

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

* Demonstrate sound work ethics and be able to work independently

* Ability to lift 75 lbs, enough agility to navigate over 3-4 foot walls, climb ladders

* Ability to pass an extensive background check

Computer Skills:

* Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
