JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Eberly College of Science at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a dynamic, student- centered professional for the position of Program Coordinator (Student Advocacy Specialist - Advanced Professional) in the Office for Undergraduate Students, which has a mission to support student success throughout the College. With a primary focus on undergraduate students, the Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Undergraduate Equity Programs and support the programming and scholarly activities for students in the Eberly College of Science including the recruitment, retention, and engagement of students. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
Education, Experience and Background Check A Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience are required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. The candidateshould possess strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and project management experience. Have a positive record of working with diverse populations. Demonstrate reliability and have the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. Intercultural insights and background are important characteristics for this position. This position requires occasional night and weekend hours. This position requires the following three publicly available clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.A driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. The position is based at University Park Campus; however, flexible work arrangements, such as hybrid work opportunity, may be considered.
