Overview

NV5 is seeking a Solutions Architect with expertise Cityworks solutions. The role primarily supports heritage Cityworks AMS & PLL solutions and will continue to support and implement Trimble technology as it evolves. This role is responsible for the technical leadership, solution design, and implementation of Cityworks-based solutions, while collaborating with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams.

Work Environment:

    Location is flexible, US Remote
  • Travel up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Lead design and implementation of Cityworks AMS & PLL (Trimble Unity) solutions.
  • Define and deliver system architecture recommendations aligned with client requirements.
  • Perform system assessments and recommend optimizations or enhancements.
  • Guide technical efforts for Cityworks projects, including integration with Esri solutions and other third-party software.
  • Lead design and implementation of data migration from third-party solutions

Client & Project Support

  • Collaborate with clients to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Facilitate technical workshops and develop design documentation and other deliverables.
  • Provide strategic consulting on enterprise system architecture and technology trends supporting Cityworks implementations
  • Provide technical support to business development initiatives. Generate estimates and propose technical approaches for proposals.
  • Break down client requirements into executable tasks

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide technical guidance to projects supporting Cityworks implementations and integrations.
  • Develop best practices, SOPs, and training materials in coordination with the Group Lead.


Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum of BA/BS degree in geography, technology, science, engineering, business, or another related field.
  • 7+ years in IT/GIS systems and enterprise integration projects.
  • 5+ years of experience directly supporting or implementing Cityworks solutions.
  • Demonstrated capability integrating Cityworks with third-party solutions through the use of FME and similar data integration platforms.
  • Understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and related Esri solutions.
  • Experienced in supporting business development activities, the design and application of enterprise and emerging technology strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience automating software deployments in the cloud
  • Familiarity with advanced reporting and analytics in PowerBI, Tableau, or Active Reports

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Cityworks API in support of configuration and integration efforts.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management.
  • Strong technical writing and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of IT governance, infrastructure, and security best practices.
