As an Associate II, Manufacturing Science & Technology Engineering supporting Process Engineering, you will be trusted to lead Product/Process lifecycle changes or Tech Transfer projects at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX!

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Serving as MS&T product steward for product life cycle management of product line(s).

  • Leading technical transfer projects that either transfer production into our facility or into another facility.

  • Working with Manufacturing Engineering and Production leadership to achieve site goals.

  • Designing and developing new or revised pharmaceutical/biological processes taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to manufacturing.

  • Developing procedures for economical mass production in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments

  • Conducting tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables

  • Servicing, troubleshooting, and solving production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.

  • Preparing and maintaining reports to ensure the plant's processes and procedures follow regulations.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of compliance, pharmaceutical, pharmacological, biological, biochemical, medical, patent and commercial factors.
