Job Description

Shift: 1st shift

Days of Work: Monday - Friday

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00 pm

Work Location: On-site (North Mankato, MN)

Starting Salary: $25.63.78 to $35.89 per hour

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:

Maintain various quality and related documentation for all customers, including but not limited to: Process Change Notification (PCN), production part approvals (PPAP), and deviations. Maintain documentation to Nidec requirements and ISO 9001: 2015 standards. Other documentation control activities such as ISO document review/revisions, customer portal submissions, etc. will also be key to this role. This position will also ensure monthly metrics are maintained and accurate and coordinate various communication from customers related to quality.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Issue and/or review all quality management documentation as applicable - including departmental procedures, manufacturing work instructions, drawings, and others.
  • Maintain our document control system(s) and assure compliance with applicable procedures and regulations, including filing, distribution and obsolescence as required
  • Provide coaching and training to all who use the PDM (Aras) system as needed for document control
  • Manage changed documentation per procedures, including changes, filing, removal, distribution
  • Support internal and external audits as requested by quality leadership.
  • Assist in maintaining target OTD for PPAP submission per customer request.
  • Participate and drive continuous improvement in the document systems.
  • Assign corrective actions for identified issues and follow up on completion.
  • Become the quality department contact for production certifications including data entry and product testing as required.

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Experience in quality document systems and/or PPAP processes, required.
  • Experience with maintaining customer quality portals/systems (such as EtQ) preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple time-based tasks
  • Proficient in use of computer and software programs including Microsoft & Adobe systems

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Other functional specific training such as ASQ, preferred.
