Job Description Summary

The Information Systems AI Intern is a one-year, fixed-term position for recent graduates who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in the field of artificial intelligence. This position will work primarily with the Data Analytics and Enterprise Systems teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative AI-powered solutions that drive adoption with the goal of productivity gains.
The Intern will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain practical experience in AI and machine learning, as well as learn from experienced professionals. This can be a great opportunity for students to learn, grow and develop skills that are in demand in the industry.

Job Description

  • Data Analysis and AI Applications

    • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.

    • Create interactive dashboards and reports to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

    • Design, train, and test AI models using various algorithms (e.g., machine learning, deep learning) to solve complex problems.

  • Workflow and Customer Service Innovation

    • Collaborate with functional teams (e.g., Admissions, Student Services, Registrar, HR) to identify areas where AI can improve workflows and customer service.

    • Design and prototype AI solutions (e.g., chatbots, intelligent automation, personalized recommendations) to address identified needs.

    • Document processes and provide training materials for end-users

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and data science, identifying new opportunities for innovation and growth.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with AI programming languages such as Python, R and SQL

  • Familiarity analytical and machine learning concepts and techniques

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Co-Pilot, Gemini, Chat GPT or similar AI Tools

  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and application with analytic applications
