The primary responsibility of the Project Manager II role is to lead cross-functional and cross-company teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed customer expectations. Functions as the core team lead (CTL) of a cross-opco initiative. This position will directly support the launch of the Pickup and Delivery Portal application. The Project Manager will manage the implementation, including schedules, communications, and documentation. They will act as the Epic Owner for a series of capabilities to ensure the functionality of Cross Op-Co compatibility and the retirement of legacy systems both in the P&D Portal application and other P&D Domain areas. They will engage with peer counterparts across Op-Cos and IT to define system requirements, rollout and launch activities, and support tasks. The P&D Portal processes scanner data, flags any potential issues, and allows data collection personnel to edit data as necessary. Once verified, the Portal sends the data to other systems for processing.
Domicile Information: This position is to be domiciled in either Pittsburgh, PA or Memphis, TN. Preference is to be hybrid and to work at a FedEx office location 3 days a week. Minimum Education Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Science, Business, Finance, or related field. In addition to minimum experience, high school diploma or GED and four (4) years of experience in a technical or professional position is accepted in lieu of degree. Minimum Experience Seven (7) years experience required in project or program management or three (3) years experience required as a Project Manager I. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications. Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management. Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals. Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs. Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions. Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to field operations. Job Conditions Minimal travel required. Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law.
