A MRA member in the Greater Milwaukee Area is looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Manager.

You'll play a crucial role in maintaining our facility, equipment, and technical infrastructure. This is a hands-on, shop floor role reporting to the Director of Operations. You will be responsible for overseeing equipment maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting, including PLC programming and electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

Your role will involve collaborating with maintenance technicians and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of our facility, minimize downtime, and drive efficiency improvements. Additionally, you will lead projects to upgrade machinery, implement new technologies, and enhance our facility's capabilities.

We're seeking individuals with a strong technical background, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Education and Experience:




    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal stamping or similar industry.
    • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting, with experience in machine upgrades and maintenance is preferred but a strong initiative and proven ability to learn will be considered.
    • Strong knowledge and experience in electrical systems, HVAC, and plumbing maintenance is beneficial.




Project Management Skills:



    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven ability to manage facility and equipment maintenance projects effectively.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with other departments and external vendors.




Leadership and Communication:



    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Experience in coaching, training, and developing team members to ensure a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
    • Bilingual in Spanish is desired but not a requirement.




Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:



    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to drive decision-making and process improvements.




Regulatory Compliance and Auditing:



    • Familiarity with regulations, standards and industry-specific certifications applicable to the manufacturing industry.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.




Computer Proficiency:



    • Proficiency using ERP systems, and Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) for data analysis, reporting, and documentation purposes.




Continuous Improvement Mindset:



    • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
